Oh the Irony

I took my new bobble-headed friend (see previous post) to work on Friday. And my own personal Dwight turns out to be a big fan of The Office. In fact, we reminisced about our favorite pranks Jim has pulled on the actual Dwight. And my office's Dwight said Jim was his favorite character. I had the most difficult time not bursting into incredulous laughter. Because if Jim Halpert worked in my office (if only!) his pranks would be aimed squarely at this guy. And my office's Dwight would end up storming out of the office and quitting (again, some more). But in his perception of reality, he is not Dwight at all. I'm sure he sees himself as the Jim of our office, although he would never have a crush on the receptionist, ChattyCathy, who is much more of a Kelly than a Pam.

Is this guy single? Could you like him?

HUH?

That's funny.. you gotta love the little things in life.. like irony.

I think you should start getting to know the vending machine guy :) That could be lots of fun. You DO need your own Jim..

E, I cannot EVEN believe that thought crossed into your head. Big fat EWW! to that one.

Heather, I wish we had a vending machine guy, although my own personal Dwight would probably beat the vending machine down and then move onto the hypothetical vending machine guy.

Aquamarine, Heather was referencing and episode of The Office in which Jim, through his friendship with 'the vending machine guy' manages to get everything from Dwight's desk into a vending machine - including his wallet - and then hands him a bag of nickels to get them out with. Excellent scene.

Sounds like your Dwight has a little Andy temper in him, eh?

Oh, definitely, Heather. Which is why he throws tantrums and quits if a co-worker throws criticism (constructive or not) his way.

That's gotta be entertaining...

Ah, if only I watched the office & would understand the delicate humor in that post. Yet, one more reason.

So.. speaking of Bionic woman (a week later :).. I finally watched the pilot episode that I had recorded.. and I LOVED it.

I thought it was so great.. I'm really excited about it. the fight scenes were cool and the story was interesting and it totally left you wanting to see more.

So I am excited for your official review.
