Here Comes the Sun
The front wall of my office is a glass door and a plate glass window. In the summer, this means the AC can be going full blast and it is still ninety degrees in the room. However, on those beautiful sun-filled winter days it is a treat. Now, I have never been a fan of winter. There are few things I like less than being cold, but winter does have a its own wonderful pleasures. One of my favorites is the experience of stepping into a car that has been sitting in the sun on a cold winter’s day. The warmth in the car is like being wrapped in a warm blanket, the kind of warmth you get from flannel pajamas, hot chocolate, and lazy Saturday mornings spent reading in bed in your flannel pajamas with a mug of hot chocolate beside you. I love that feeling! Well, in my office, as the sun sinks throughout the afternoon, my whole office fills with that warmth and I smile.

Ahhhhh....that sounds really, really good right now! Am in the library and its freezing! P.S. sounds like a good opening paragraph for a novel...ever thought of writing one?
OH that sounds heavenly. I was actually chilled going to the store this evening.
I also agree with Esperanza, I would most definitely read any novel you wrote.
Thanks you guys! I really appreciate your votes of confidence! I have enough time on my hands at this job. I'll see what I can do.
yes! Let's all be writers, shall we? :)
I'm glad you brought up some good things about winter because without snow, I wasn't thinking of anything.
You might think this is sick, but also love that hot car in the summertime.
I'm actually longing for winter time here. It's perpetual summer. I love summer but I like winter too. I miss the snow and I wish it would get lower than 80 here!! Never thought I would say that. The only time it's really cold enough for hot chocolate is when my coworkers turn the air conditioner down to 75 and I'm freezing enough to drink it. Luckily we get free hot chocolate at work!
Free hot chocolate at work, CherBear? That sounds like heaven! What a perk. I would be permanently hopped up on hot chocolate!
We get free soda too. And free shirts.
And free popcorn.
You found yourself a keeper, CherBear! I mean, I get pretty good benefits, but nothing like free hot chocolate, soda, shirts, and popcorn. Perhaps that is a good thing, as I am usually sitting at my desk, so I would soon outgrow my chair with that much temptation around!
