Introducing . . .

. . . Mr. Rochester, my new betta fish. My mother and I have been unsuccessful in our attempts to talk my father into a puppy, so we settled for a betta fish. We went to the pet store last week, but they didn't have any, but today we were triumphant! Our new housemate has a dusky charcoal body and his tail is a red-orange. He was kind of fiesty in the store and on the way home, so I figured Mr. Rochester would be an excellent name for him. He isn't into photo shoots, but I think this picture captures him nicely.

Cute! I think a trip to Petco is in order. I have way too many empty fishbowls than is strictly healthy.

Yeah, those fish bowls should be filled. Oh, and if you go to the main blogger page, you should be able to create a Google sign-in, and then you should be able to post items as Parker. But you do have to create a Google ID.

She'll never do it! She's always in need of being in-cog...

We need a fish as well---HY would go crazy with a beta. Of course, I worry about the 'death' aspect.

I want a betta too, like the one we had at the Waterford with the plant and everything, but I think it would be too much trouble to take care of. And we have no shelves or tables to put it on. And I'm sure the cats would find a way to get it, somehow. I could see myself finding it in the cat's food bowl, like when we have hot wings.

Scully...life's events had led me to put aside this blog for a time. Since my return, I have wanted to thank you for wrapping me in well-written thoughts and helping to pass hours that otherwise would have been spent listening to lawyers drone on about Patent nonsense. So, thank you.

oohh, no puppy! :(
Beta's can be exciting, though. We had one that would jump to get it's food out of our fingers, right up out of the water, a couple times out of the bowl and into the sink. ;)

Definitely not a puppy, but lovely to watch for sure!

I also have been keeping updated but unable to post any comments due to a blogger hex. ;)
