Is It Opposite Day?

This is my horoscope for today:
Libra
September 22 - October 22
In future years, you could remember today as one of the best days of your life, dear Libra. Romance should be going beautifully as you exchange deeply felt words of love with your partner. The future looks bright, and you should be full of enthusiastic plans for pursuing what you really want to do. Also, you should be feeling especially strong, energetic, healthy, and ready to try just about anything. A journey may be coming up soon. Have fun!
And the possibility that this could be the best day of my life is the saddest joke ever. Because today was the day that I woke up with the knowledge that karma hates me. That it, or fate, or whatever you want to call it is actively trying to make me miserable. And then to turn on the computer and see that horoscope, just like pouring lemon juice on a paper cut.

First of all, there is no romance in my life. My last date was years - yes, years - ago and I am apprently such a loser that a woman in my home ward is telling my mother that she should introduce me to the new 48 year-old single dad of 15 year-old twins who just moved into said ward. Hello? The man is two decades older than I am!

Secondly, I woke up with a stuffy nose, a headache, and a scratchy throat and spent most of the day just trying to stay warm. So, no energy, health, or adventure-seeking around here today.

And finally, I have no plans for the future because I am unemployed and can't afford to have any plans past the vague edict 'Must find job.' The only possibility of a journey I can see is moving home with my tale between my legs because I am, apparently, unemployable. So yeah, it must be opposite day.

I sure hope so! I am praying for a light at the end of your tunnel. I am sorry that the Utah employment is going so awful. Hence the reason I have never been able to move there. Not that this is productive but sounds like time for a big cup of steaming hot chocolate and a good book to wash the worries away. ;)

Sorry re: the cold, that's probably my fault what with all the germs I had recently. But it's also my job to not let you linger in Pity Party land for too long, so watch it, sister. Horoscopes are retahded, anyway. And if it's any consolation (which, probably not), my job search is also sucking, blowing and biting. Meh.

Yeah, no on the 50 year old boyfriend. Too wierd. Especially being "stepmom" to kids that are close to your age. Why do women in home wards think they can suggest such nonsense? No more pity parties!! You'll find your Mark Darcy one day. Too bad it won't be the real, fake Mark Darcy. Speaking of Mark Darcies, whatever happened to the Mark Darcy of the BYU 38th ward who lived down the street?

Who tried to set you up was it Sandy Hansen? Oh my, you don't want someone 2 WHOLE decades older than you! sick.
I hope you find a job soon! I'm praying for you!

Your circle of friends is probably changing rapidly, E- perhaps too rapidly for your tastes. Some friends may be moving away, and different interests have caused you to form new friendships. Your life may seem to be going well right now, but you may miss your old friends and go through temporary fits of nostalgia, longing for the old days. We can't bring them back, as you well know. Focus your eyes on the future and move straight ahead!

I miss having you and Panini and Walking and everyone close!!!

eww! Only in his dreams could he go out with you! This is just sucky week . . . it's a carry-over from finals time during college (which unfortunately I'm still experiencing) and which I bet we'll never be rid of.
You might consider putting up a Christmas tree . . . then, like me, you could drown your sorrows while you stare into the twinkles for hours.
:)

Esp~ that is too close to the truth to be cool. Don't follow it! No looking forward and past your friends . . . unless it's to look forward to moving up to Logan when you're a teacher!!! This is Your town!

okay, I just can't contain myself any more, but 48?!?!? That is just so wrong on so many levels. ;)

Or was it the 31st ward?
