Give Me the Green

February is over. Huzzah! February is, despite being the shortest month in the calendar, the longest month of the year. It is a drab, indecisive month that celebrates a holiday I actively dislike and another the just reminds us we are still stuck in the middle of winter. The only bright spot is my mother’s birthday. March is much better. It is the month that hosts the Spring Equinox and St. Patrick’s Day, on which you celebrate being Irish even if you aren’t and anyone can celebrate simply by wearing green. The days are noticeably longer and the sun is out more often. Here in Utah you still see the occasional snowstorm, but the promise of spring is in the air. Plants start showing a little life, rather than the brown death of the previous four months. March is alive with hope and possibility and good luck. So bring on the green!

I love March too! Spring, flowers, fresh air...oh wait, I am in Arizona, so basically that mean I am headed into the dead of summer. Oy. I still like March though, my birthday is the 31st.

Agreed. I always feel a profound lack of motivation in Feb. too! So here is to March! ANd green, because it is one of my favorite colors!

I forgot to mention that Girl Scout cookes go on sale. I love the Girl Scout cookies. Although I can never remember their new names. I still call them what they were called when I was a Girl Scout.

Have you ever been to a St. Pattie's day party? Maybe we should throw one?!

At least summer hasn't been thrust upon us yet here in desert. It has been rather blustery here lately so March hasn't been so great for us so far. But it will get better! I'm just glad it's not 125 degrees yet! I'll take any weather over that!

I hear there was a little snow storm there? That's totally lame!! There's some snow storms in the mountains here too.

And now it looks like Utah here with all the snowstorms in the mountains this weekend. It's like winter had a delayed reaction here or something. It's kinda neat to look out the window and see snow on the mountains when you haven't seen it in a while! ;)
