I know I should be blogging about my trip to California, but I don't really have time between Trick-or-Treaters and my dad offered to do the dishes if I handled the door. So it will have to be tomorrow. But I do need some advice. I realized I'm totally bored with my hair. Partly because I'm very, very lazy and don't bother with the round brush/flat iron combo unless it is a very, very special occasion. Also, I am enjoying the length and am sort of having a competition with myself to see how long I can get it. But it looks more and more like I crash landed at 'boule de cheveux' when shooting for pre-Raphaelite these days. So any suggestions are welcome. Unless that suggestion is waking up half an hour earlier, because that just isn't happening.
This is what I'm dealing with:

wow - it's gotten so long. maybe you could keep the lovely length - get some highlights and some barrettes or something?
Well, I don't know if this will work on your hair, but this is what I've found works lately for me: dry the roots upside down with a paddle brush, then twist the ends (which are still wet) into curls and run the dryer over then one last time. Usually by the time I get to work it's all dry and then I just shake it out a bit. I too am really over straightening lately. Weird, no?
Since my hair isn't as curly as yours, Parker, I can only get my hair to behave like that in less dry conditions than I live in. It did it nicely in CA and MI, but not so much in Eastern WA. Also, another reason moving to Bellingham would totally be the best.
Wowzers...so freaking long. How does that happen to everyone but me? anyway, this is about YOU....okay, you know me, I'm all about short hair, but since it's so long just keep going. You might as well have some goal in mind. Like growing it long enough to donate to locks of love(always wanted to do that, but alas--my hair doesn't grow). You could always submit yourself to a TV makeover...what do you think? We could nominate you.
Alas, I have the same problem as you. Locks of love is a good goal, but for me, I don't want to give some little kid hair that gets easily tangled. And it won't grow fast enough. Anyway, for you, maybe a good goal. Layered hair is accepted but the shortest layer has to be 10 inches long. Or you could grow the longest layer to 10 and just send that. Anyway, I like the length, maybe start getting it to be all one length? Can you get wavy out of it? Maybe just a trim will make it all better. I'm hoping mine will be better with a trim. It's not a good sign when your hair feels like Barbie hair is it?
