Last night I watched the Masterpiece Theatre presentation of
Jane Eyre on PBS. Even though there were differences from the book and it wasn't a strict interpretation, I highly recommend all you Bronte lovers check out the second installment next Sunday at 8pm on PBS. And I really have to try and NOT order the DVD until I have an actual paycheck.

Oy!!! Happened to stumble upon this very thing myself! I didn't realize that it was an installment. Talk about a cliff hanger. I will so be in front of my tv this Sunday for the rest of it. And yes, the first things out of my mouth were, "Ooo, that would be nice to have." Mister just laughed. I think he got the hint.
Did I miss the whole British party we were going to have? If not, we should do it for Esp's birthday. egh?
British party, sounds fun! In Germany there are these specialty shops that sell British stuff, flags, candy, you name it. I loved it! If I could only get a Cadbury Flake chocolate bar here...
No, you didn't miss it Panini. And we should do it at some point. I don't know if it is what E wants to do for her birthday, but I could check.
Do they have a good Jane? Because the one that came out a few years ago from MGM or whomever, I just didn't like the Jane, I know she is supposed to be plain...but not dull right?
I am not even going to talk about what happen when I tried to record that stupid thing. GRR. And then I tried to record the second half last night while I was out but forgot to tell both roommates. So of course the one I didn't tell came down and started channel-surfing. Now have it set to record the re-broadcasting at 2am. And that was a long boring story. My apologies.
ps. Toby Stephens is hot.
No apology necessary, Nemesis. That situation would cause profanity to come spewing out of my mouth. But yes, Toby Stephens is hot (did you ever see the movie of Twelfth Night w/ Helena Bonham Carter. He plays the Duke) and I think he played Rochester perfectly, with the right mix of bitterness, regret, and hope. I LOVED this adaptation! Hope you enjoy it too.
Oh yes, I have seen Twelfth Night. Actually watched that one twice in one day at the International Cinema with my equally-Toby-Stephens-smitten roommates.
