The Happiest Place on Earth
This summer has seemed irrationally long, even though it is only half over, and due to my brother's wedding in April and my aunt's wedding in August, my vacation time was used up. At least all the days I haven't earmarked for Christmas. So I thought this would be a long hot, uneventful summer. But then my parents, my brother and sister-in-law, and I decided that since my aunt's wedding is on a Friday, we were going to spend that Saturday at DisneyLand. I can't tell you how giddily excited I am about this. Now that the plane tickets are purchased and vacation days scheduled, it all seems real. I've never been to DisneyLand. I did go to Disney World when I was 3, but that was far too long ago. So here is to reveling in childhood and enjoying an impromptu family vacation!

Wahoo, Disneyland or bust!! I am so excited for you, Scully. It is great news about your Aunt getting married too! I hope you have so much fun that it lasts you through to the end of summer!
Hey, CherBear, Parker and her photog friend V are doing the photography for my aunt's wedding, so Parker is going to be at Disneyland too. You should come that Saturday! It would be fun!
And we are all happy for my aunt, but the more I'm around people planning weddings, the more convinced I am I don't want or care about any of it except the actual ceremony. Worrying about the perfect dress, hair, centerpieces, shoes, yada just seems so exhausting! It is stressful enough.
So fun! Every summer needs one good vacation, thats what I think! You will have a blast, wear sunscreen... :)
Sorry about the bouquets, CherBear. Since my philosophy is that everything that can go wrong will go wrong, I don't understand tempting fate. But to each their own. Hope you can make it!
I'm assuming the Aunt is a certain red head that I know and love? If so tell her congratulations for me! Also, I LOVE DISNEYLAND!!! And I heard they have changed the Pirates ride to include Captain Jack Sparrow so be very excited =-)
Yep, Katie, it is that aunt. I'll pass along the congrats. I am totally excited for the PotC ride. It is one of the few things I remember from DisneyWorld. Sadly, I haven't had time to see the second film yet. Maybe Monday, since I have a 3-day weekend! Yay!
